월드시리즈 2차전은 토요일 밤인데, 1차전까지 가려면 상당한 과제가 있다. 

레인저스는 1차전 후반 장타에 힘입어 6-5로 승리했지만 승부는 대체로 부진했다. 

그렇지 않을 때까지 Diamondbacks에 의해 제어되었습니다. 

두 라인업은 물론 두 선발 투수 모두 펀치를 받고 곧바로 펀치를 날리는 

뛰어난 활약을 펼쳤습니다. 결국 코리 시거가 높은 패스트볼 실수에 부딪혀 

동점을 만들었고, 이후 아돌리스 가르시아가 근육질의 반대편 필드슛으로 

만회골을 터뜨렸다. 게임 2에서 무엇을 기대해야 합니까?

한 가지 주목할 점은 양 팀의 피해가 라인업 상위권에 의해 이뤄졌다는 점이다. 

스네이크스는 순서대로 안타를 쳤지만(선발 9명 중 7명이 안타를 쳤고, 

3~4타자는 안타를 기록했다) 실점은 위에서부터 몰렸다. 레인저스의 경우 후반 

랠리가 시작되기 전까지 안타를 친 선수는 단 3명에 불과했다. 

애리조나가 어떻게든 시거-카터-가르시아 조직의 일부를 조용하게 만들 수 

있다면 그들은 나머지 부분과 함께 살 수 있을 것입니다. 투구에 관한 한 

애리조나의 메릴 켈리는 포스트시즌에 3번의 선발 등판을 기록했는데 

모두 좋은 성적을 거두었습니다. 

두 사람이 지배적이었고 다른 한 사람은 늦게 그에게서 멀어졌습니다. 

Kelly는 내가 가장 좋아하는 투수가 아니며 그를 신뢰하기 어렵다고 생각합니다. 

하지만 그는 이번 포스트시즌에서 나를 이기고 있습니다. 

레인저스의 조던 몽고메리(Jordan Montgomery)는 대부분의 사람들이 

생각하는 것보다 포스트시즌에서 더 많은 타격을 입었지만 매 아웃마다 팀에 

꼭 필요한 이닝을 제공했습니다. 

나는 그가 며칠 전에 불펜에서 나온 것을 좋아하지 않으며, 지금쯤이면 완전히 

휴식을 취해야 할 것이지만, 속도가 떨어지거나 변화구에 대한 물림이 

조금 줄어들 확률은 0이 아닙니다. D-Backs는 금요일에 불펜의 "앞서" 

부분을 사용했는데 이는 장기적으로 시리즈에 좋은 징조가 아닙니다. 

하지만 나는 그들이 정말로 해야 할 경기에서 토요일에 펜이 다시 돌아올 수 

있다고 생각합니다. 

텍사스는 2이닝 동안 호세 르클레르크를 기용해야 했고, 

이로 인해 2차전에서 변덕스러운 아롤디스 채프먼을 볼 가능성이 훨씬 높아졌다. 

이번 경기가 접전을 이룰 것으로 기대할 이유가 충분하다고 생각하며 

플러스 가치가 마음에 든다. 다시 한 번 퇴출당하는 애리조나 팀에서. 

시리즈에서도 Snakes를 플레이하겠습니다.

Game 2 of the World Series is on Saturday night, and it has quite a 

task if it wants to live up to Game 1. The Rangers scored a 6-5 

win late in Game 1 thanks to the long ball, but the game was largely 

controlled by the Diamondbacks — until it wasn’t. Both lineups as well 

as both starting pitchers did an outstanding job of taking punches and 

then punching right back. In the end, Corey Seager ran into a high fastball 

mistake to tie the game, and Adolis Garcia later walked it off on a 

muscled-up opposite field shot. What should we expect from Game 2?

One thing to note is that the damage for both teams was done by the 

top of the lineup. The Snakes got hits all up and down the order 

(7 of the 9 starters got hits, and it was the 3-4 hitters who were blanked), 

but the runs were driven in from the top. For the Rangers, only 3 guys 

had hits before the late-inning rally started. If Arizona can somehow 

quieten the Seager-Carter-Garcia part of the order, they could live 

with the rest. As far as the pitching goes, Arizona’s Merrill Kelly has 

logged 3 postseason starts, all of them good. Two have been 

dominant, and the other got away from him late. Kelly is not 

my favorite pitcher, and I find him hard to trust, but he is winning 

me over this postseason. The Rangers’ Jordan Montgomery, he has 

been more hittable in the postseason than most people think, 

but he has given his team much-needed innings in every outing. 

I do not love that he came out of the bullpen a few days ago, and 

while he should probably be fully rested by now, the odds of having 

a dip in velocity or a little less bite on the breaking ball are not zero. 

The D-Backs used the “ahead” part of their bullpen on Friday, and that 

does not bode well for the series long-term. But I do think that pen 

can bounce back on Saturday in a game they really need to take. 

Texas had to use Jose Leclerq for 2 innings, which makes it much more 

likely that we will see the erratic Aroldis Chapman in Game 2. 

I think there is plenty of reason to expect this game to stay close, 

and I love the plus-value on an Arizona team that is once again 

being written off. I’ll play the Snakes to even the series.
